High security for your mail communication
Known and well-proven security measures are in place: SSL (Secure Socket Layer), TLS (Transport Layer Security), PFS (Perfect Forward Secrecy).
1 free dedicated SSL certificate
The communication between your computer and the server needs to be encrypted as sensitive/personal data will be transmitted. SaaS Web offers a certificate for one domain (with and without www prefix). On demand, an other type of certificate or existing one that you already own can be set up. The single mailboxes are part of the SaaS Web cluster and use the SaaS Web SSL certificate.
Mailbox with unlimited storage
The storage space of single mailboxes is unlimited - according to the fair use principle. The other packages have the limit given by the VM, but, in case it is needed, the storage space can be increased.
Mobility & Auto discovery
The mail system supports ActiveSync. Therefore you can setup your mailbox as Exchange on your smartphone and sync automatically your calendar and contacts. The auto discovery function is the cherry on the cake, letting you set up the mailbox automatically just by entering your mail address and password.
Calendar & contacts
Using the hosted groupware SOGo, you can manage your calendar and contacts directly in the web interface. Also, if you use CalDAV and CardDAV clients, you can sync the calendar and contacts on your computer or smartphone.
DKIM & SPF
SaaS Web sets up the DKIM and SPF parameters in order to help you obtaining a good “reputation” and allowing you to pass filters of other mail systems more easily. This service is available with XL packages or higher.
Effective anti-spam & virus protection
SaaS Web uses various filter techniques (for example Spamassassin, realtime DNS blacklists) in order to block spam as good as possible.

Detailed information about SaaS Web Mail
SaaS Web operates mail services for companies for over 10 years and has always adapted the platform according to the needs of the customers. Security, availability and performance have always been the basement of all matter.
SSL, TLS, STARTTLS
The SaaS Web mail servers use an encrypted layer to communicate to other mail servers. At no point, the server is transporting data without encryption. Also, for clients connecting to the mail server, it is mandatory to activate encryption otherwise the mail server will not accept the message.
Perfect Forward Secrecy [PFS]
PFS is an encryption technique which helps keeping (old) messages private even when the key has been compromised. It uses a session-based secret which is independent from the private key.
DKIM
DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email authentication method designed to detect email spoofing. It allows the receiver to check that an email claimed to come from a specific domain was indeed authorized by the owner of that domain. It is intended to prevent forged sender addresses in emails, a technique often used in phishing and email spam.
SPF
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a simple email-validation system designed to detect email spoofing by providing a mechanism to allow receiving mail exchangers to check that incoming mail from a domain comes from a host authorized by that domain’s administrators. The list of authorized sending hosts for a domain is published in the Domain Name System (DNS) records for that domain in the form of a specially formatted TXT record. Email spam and phishing often use forged “from” addresses, so publishing and checking SPF records can be considered anti-spam techniques.
IMAP / POP3
The mailboxes can be accessed via IMAP or POP3. We suggest the usage of IMAP as it offers more convenient features like the synchronisation of the whole mailbox including folders across multiple devices. POP3 does only synchronise the inbox.
SOGo Groupware
SaaS Web uses SOGo to offer you a nice webmail and team collaboration experience. Besides email, SOGo gives you access to calendar and contact management. SOGo is a modern open source software.
Mail packages and sending limits
Packages with an own VM do not have a limitation in the number of mail addresses to create and manage. The reason is simple, only the (over)usage is using resources. Therefore we differentiate the packages mainly by the amount of outgoing emails which will be sent during one month. Please not that an outgoing email addressing two recipients is counted as two emails.
